Kyu: A rank designation for under black belt
Dan: Degree- A rank designation for the first to Tenth degree black belt.
Shodan-Ho: Students(children) not yet 16 yrs of age to qualify for 1st degree black belt/or dan ranking
Mudansha: One without a degree- A student not yet a black belt
Yudansa: A black belt holder- A title designating the rank of first to tenth degree black belt.
                                             POSITION
Deshi: Disciple or trainee - A student regardless of rank
Kohai: Junior- A beginning/or underbelt student, not yet black belt.
Sempai: Senior- A title given to brown belts if no black belt are present.
Sensei: Teacher or Instructor - A black belt qualified to teach who has reached the level of 2nd or 3rd degree black belt
Shihan: Master Teacher -Instructor of very high rank, sixth degree or above. A teacher of Sensei 1st to 5th dan(degree)black Belt

Tashi: Expert - fourth,or fifth degree black belt
Renshi: Polished expert -  sixth degree black belt.
Kyoshi: Expert Instructor - A  seventh degree black belt.
Hanshi: Master - A respected master of eighth to tenth degree black belt.
(Primarily the only belt of color above black  belt is deeper dark red belt which is designated for the coveted 10th Degree given mostly to those reaching the age of 65 years or 70 plus years of age.

O'Sensei: Great Instructor _ Highest master within a system
Kacho: Master of the House - Senior master of a system.
Meijin: Expert - One who has mastered an art beyond the boundaries of physical prowness.
